Colorful Kauai Wedding in Festive Floral

Dress - Cynthia Rowley (Shop my similar dress below), Jacket - H&M, Shoes - Michael Kors, Clutch - Bulgari, Necklace - Francesca's Closet

This past weekend I went to the wedding of a good friend at the Kukui'ula Clubhouse in Kauai. The bride called for "colorful" semi-formal attire so I opted for a bright yellow floral dress. Black shoes could have also worked with this outfit but I went with tan since they worked with the backup dress I also brought. You can't tell in this photo but this dress also has pockets; perfect for weddings or formal events. I love dresses that fit in with fancy events, work occasions and just plain everyday!

Here is another picture of my outfit, this time with the beautiful bride.

Motorcycle Jacket Dim Sum

It is always best advised to wear jackets that don't soak up food smells when going to a Chinese restaurant. Given that most dim sum food items are steamed, I know I'm relatively safe but I still wanted to play it conservative. Leather jackets are my best friends since they handle random grease splatters and fried smells like a champ. In other words, I don't go home smelling like what I just ate. The other place you want to adhere to this rule is at a Korean BBQ joint. But I digress. The second most important rule to remember when I'm going to a (yummy) Chinese restaurant is to wear a loose and flowy top so when I stuff myself post-dim sum, I don't look like I'm 5 months preggers. My top has a longer tail which has great butt coverage and a loose/flowy front. Bingo!

Bon appetite!
